A Case of Endometriosis of the Perianal and Rectal Area

Abstract
|
|
|
The incidence of perianal endometriosis is quit rare. We have experienced one case of perianal and rectal endometriosis.
The typical clinical history and local findings enable us to make the correct diagnosis.
The treatment of choice is complete surgical excision of the endometrial tissue and surgical excision usually obtains permanent cure.
The possible pathogenesis of the endometriosis and various modalities of treatment were discussed.
